What is a Lift Check Valve? 

A lift check valve is a form of non-return valve that permits fluid to move in one direction but automatically stops backflow. Lift check valves use the pressure of incoming fluid to lift a disc, which, upon stopping or reversing flow, goes back to its reseating position to maintain system integrity and avoid damage. 

Key Parts of Lift Check Valve 

1. Body – Made of materials such as stainless steel, cast iron, or carbon steel, based on the application. 


2. Disc or Poppet – Travels vertically to permit or restrict fluid passage. 


3. Seat – Gives a sealing surface to the disc to avoid backflow.

Working Mechanism
